Trinity Rural Water Customers:
We want to take a moment to address the ongoing water outages, low pressure issues, and line breaks that many of you have experienced recently. We know you are aware that these disruptions are largely the result of the fiber optic construction work taking place in our service area. The frequent excavation and ground disturbance have created challenges that are impacting our water system on a regular basis.
Please know that we hear you, we see every report you make, and we are not ignoring any calls regarding leaks, line locates, or repair needs. We understand how important these issues are. The reality is that we are operating with a single crew, and every time we begin working on our own scheduled projects, we are immediately pulled away to respond to new leaks or emergency repairs caused by the ongoing construction activity. This constant cycle makes it extremely difficult to stay ahead, but we remain committed to addressing every issue as quickly as possible.
We want to assure you of the following:
• Every call, report, and request is logged and tracked.
• No issue is being overlooked or forgotten.
• Our crew is working diligently to keep up with repairs, often under difficult and unpredictable conditions.
• We remain committed to restoring and maintaining reliable service for all customers.
We also want to be transparent about one important limitation: as much as we may want to and as much as our customers may want us to we do not have the authority to stop these contractors or halt their work. The construction is permitted and regulated through agencies beyond our control, and we must work around their activity as best we can.
We understand the inconvenience and frustration these repeated outages can cause, and we truly appreciate your patience as we work through this challenging period. Our goal is always to provide safe, dependable water service, and we will continue doing everything within our power to respond quickly and address each issue as soon as we are able.
Thank you for your continued support and understanding.
