**UPDATE: Pine Forest Acres & Barrett's Landing Residents**
June 06, 2025
**UPDATE: Pine Forest Acres & Barrett's Landing Residents**
We want to share an update on the progress to restore your water service. Access to the damaged line has been delayed due to two major washouts blocking the path to the area. Today, a contractor came out and repaired those road sections so we can safely reach the repair site.
The contractor responsible for boring under the river will be on-site tomorrow morning for a final assessment. We’ve been informed that once the work begins, it will take approximately three days to complete repairs and restore water service.
In the meantime, drinking water and non-potable water are still available at the 356 Volunteer Fire Department. We’ll continue to keep you updated as things move forward, and we truly appreciate your patience during this time.

Boil Water Notice-Barrett's Landing and Pine Forest Acres Only
June 05, 2025
Boil Water Notice for Trinity Rural Water Supply Corporation
Barrett’s Landing, and Pine Forest Acres Neighborhoods Only
Chita System (2280029)
June 5, 2025
Due to a water line break that has caused low pressure/no water on the Chita System 2280029, the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality has required the Trinity Rural Water Supply public water system to notify customers in the Barrett’s Landing and Pine Forest Acres Neighborhoods ONLY to boil their water prior to consumption (e.g., washing hands/face, brushing teeth, drinking, etc.). Children, seniors, and persons with weakened immune systems are particularly vulnerable to harmful bacteria, and all customers should follow these directions).
To ensure destruction of all harmful bacteria and other microbes, water for drinking, cooking, and ice making should be boiled and cooled prior to use for drinking water or human consumption purposes. The water should be brought to a vigorous rolling boil and then boiled for two minutes.
In lieu of boiling, individuals may purchase bottled water or obtain water from some other suitable source for drinking water or human consumption purposes.
When it is no longer necessary to boil the water, the public water system officials will notify customers that the water is safe for drinking water or human consumption purposes.
Once the boil water notice is no longer in effect, the public water system will issue a notice to customers that rescinds the boil water notice in a manner similar to this notice.
Please share this information with all the other people who drink this water, especially those who may not have received this notice directly (for example, people in apartments, nursing homes, schools, and businesses). You can do this by posting this notice in a public place or distributing copies by hand or mail.
If you have questions concerning this matter, you may contact Trinity Rural Water located at 3841 FM 356 Trinity, TX 75862 or at 936-594-2192 Monday-Friday 7am-4pm. Emergency after hours: 936-594-2192(Phone is forwarded after 4pm to our on call personnel)
