North and South Update

September 25, 2023

North and South Residents Update:

Everyone will have water today once all the tanks have filled back up. We appreciate your patience during this time

Update for North and South System Residents

September 24, 2023

North and South System Update:
The Surface Water Plant can now produce water; however, we have to get the turbidity down to state standards before filling the tanks and distributing it to customers. This will not be a quick process, but the crew is working diligently and will continue until water is restored. We understand you are frustrated; we are as well. We do not set out to do this on purpose by any means; things happen that we can not control. We do appreciate all of our customers and your patience during this time. We will get water to you as soon as we can.

Boil Water Notice-Entire South System

September 24, 2023

Boil Water Notice for Trinity Rural Water Supply Corporation

ENTIRE SOUTH SYSTEM (2280011)

 September 24, 2023

Due to no water from an unknown problem at the Surface Water Treatment Plant on the Entire South System 2280011, the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality has required the Trinity Rural Water Supply public water system to notify all customers to boil their water prior to consumption (e.g., washing hands/face, brushing teeth, drinking, etc.). Children, seniors, and persons with weakened immune systems are particularly vulnerable to harmful bacteria, and all customers should follow these directions).

To ensure destruction of all harmful bacteria and other microbes, water for drinking, cooking, and ice making should be boiled and cooled prior to use for drinking water or human consumption purposes. The water should be brought to a vigorous rolling boil and then boiled for two minutes.

In lieu of boiling, individuals may purchase bottled water or obtain water from some other suitable source for drinking water or human consumption purposes.

When it is no longer necessary to boil the water, the public water system officials will notify customers that the water is safe for drinking water or human consumption purposes.

Once the boil water notice is no longer in effect, the public water system will issue a notice to customers that rescinds the boil water notice in a manner similar to this notice.

Please share this information with all the other people who drink this water, especially those who may not have received this notice directly (for example, people in apartments, nursing homes, schools, and businesses). You can do this by posting this notice in a public place or distributing copies by hand or mail.

If you have questions concerning this matter, you may contact Trinity Rural Water located at 3841 FM 356 Trinity, TX 75862 or at 936-594-2192 Monday-Friday 7am-4pm. Emergency after hours: 936-594-2192(Phone is forwarded after 4pm to our on call personnel)
